Job description

We are hiring a Supervisor to work with the Head of a Day Center for the Elderly, this center is based in the Dublin 4 area.

This role is immediately available.

The hours will be 25 per week. 5 hours per day, 9am-2pm (negotiable).

The Day Center fosters the well being of the older person in body, mind, emotions and spirit, in order to enhance the quality of their life.

The center offers various facilities such as Lunch, Keep Fit, Hairdressing, Physiotherappy and outings.

We are seeking a compassionate person with experience to help assist the Head to run the center, ensuring compliance of standards and regulations.

Duties:

• Help the Head to run the center
• The role is to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations such as HACCP, Food Safety Standards, Safeguarding etc
• Liaising with staff and attendees on a daily basis, implementing and monitoring procedures
• Training staff where necessary and monitoring and recording data
• Managing staff shifts
• Overlooking food coming into the center and managing distribution
• This is a 6mth contract initially, but with view to permanency for the right person.
• Previous experience with compliance, HACCP and standards in a healthcare environment is required to apply for this role.
• Strong communication and administrative experience is required.
• Rate is: c €23-25ph
• Candidates applying must have QQI Level 5, care skills , healthcare support , HACCP training, knowledge of Hiqa, the Health Act 2007 – 2013
