We are recruiting a School Administration Officer to join a dynamic school in the Dublin 2 area.
This person will play a key role in supporting the successful integration, welfare, and academic progress of international students. The position is responsible for overseeing administrative functions related to enrollment, orientation, and ongoing support of international students, ensuring compliance with immigration regulations, and promoting a positive student experience. The officer will liaise between students, school staff, and external agencies to deliver a high standard of student services. The role requires excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills as well as an understanding of the unique challenges faced by international students.

Day to day admin duties include:

  • Letters
  • Applications
  • Medicover policies
  • Gathering and inputting data and information on students and guardians
  • Following up with families who have not provided information
  • Assist students with timetable creation
  • Moodle queries

Pastoral Support:

  • Day to day support – refer to appropriate Year Head
  • Escalate any high level concerns to Year Head or Head of Pastoral Care
  • Academic, attendance concerns, escalate
  • One to one appointments via the booking system
  • Follow up on concerns referred to via the accommodation team

Orientation:

  • Planning and delivery of a four day orientation
  • Preparation of orientation decks, handouts and materials
  • New student set up
  • Pre arrival zoom calls
  • Arranging guest speakers
  • Tech set up and troubleshooting

Handbook and learning materials

  • Maintenance and upkeep of the 4 international student handbooks
  • Assist students in research and writing of university applications
  • Maintain of the international student Moodle page

Requirements:

  • Min 3-5 years experience in an office administration or related roles
  • Experience with international students (preferable but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Cultural competence
  • Ability to provide guidance on matters such as orientation, accommodation, health services and academic support
  • Ability to handle student concerns
  • Basic knowledge of Immigration and visa regulations
  • Salary: €35k. Hours Monday-Friday 8am-4.30pm. Full time on site.
