We are recruiting a Front Desk Administrator for a small Optical Practice based in the Dublin 14 area.

Duties will be varied and will include:
  • Front Desk- Meet/Greet patients , booking appointments
  • Manage the front retail area.
  • Administration duties – carrying out paperwork for Optical Benefit, correspondence with Health Boards and Government departments.
  • Handling enquiries in person and over the phone and organising appointments
  • Diary management to ensure the smooth running of the Practice.
  • Handling patient complaints.
  • Ordering products and matching up supplier deliveries with patient orders.
  • Candidates must have fluent English in both spoken and written English and must be easily understood over the phone.
  • Carrying out repairs on spectacles and adjusting frames (training provided).
  • Assisting with vision tests and assisting patients how to care for their contact lenses.
  • Assisting with merchandising.
  • Candidates must enjoy the challenge of a busy work environment as well as the professional aspect of the job.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in an Optical or Medical Practice would be beneficial but not necessary.
  • Previous Reception experience is required. Good admin and organisational skills also.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to stay calm under pressure.
Salary : €30-32k
Opening hours 9.20am – 6pm Tuesday -Saturday and Thursday until 7pm.
This is a rostered job, general Saturday work is required with Sunday and Monday off.
