We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a team- Healthcare & Government, working for a global distribution company. The successful applicant will take responsibility for developing a defined established sales territory within this division with a focus on achieving sales and margin budgets and managing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and manage the product portfolio in acute hospitals, nursing homes and government customers
  • Manage related sales, training requirements and implementations for new business
  • Constantly seek new opportunities to expand the portfolio and increase margin
  • Maintaining records on sales and client activities
  • Monitoring individual sales performance, producing reports as required
  • Working with credit Control to ensure customers comply with terms and conditions of trading
  • Maintaining and growing existing portfolio by regular interaction with customers to achieve agreed financial targets (sales, margin and new business)
  • Calling on customers on a regular basis, providing quotes and ensuring that enquiries and issues are followed up in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Proven and demonstrable career success(min 3-5yrs) in a field based sales environment
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or medical related field
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to self motivate and work on own initiative and plan workload
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Full clean driving licence is essential
  • Excellent presentation skills
