We are recruiting a Part time Accounts & Administration Assistant to work in a retreat centre in the Co Derry area.
This role will be 3 days/21 hours per week in-person.
The Accounts & Administrative Assistant should be highly organised, hardworking and self-motivated in order to assist in the smooth running of the retreat centre.
You will work with the Prior and the Bursar with minimal supervision. You will need to demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills.
You will be comfortable with general office operations, including email, filing and various adhoc duties as required.
You should be proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Good people and communication skills are required.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Collect all invoices ensuring they are approved and signed as authorised for payment.
- Enter all receipts and payments into Sage Accounting
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Act as the main point of contact with the NI Auditors
- Bank lodgements
- Weekly cash count
- Comply with all aspects of the Financial Policy of the Order and devise and ensure processes in the Community are in line with the policies of the Order.
Work with the Provincial Bursars Office to ensure:
- Staff handbook policies and procedures are in practice.
- Manage HR records locally ensuring OCD data protection policy is observed.
- Ensure that volunteer compliance documentation is in place.
- Arrange staff and volunteer training as advised by Provincial Bursars Office
- Take ownership for progressing any matters of governance and compliance in the community as advised by the Provincial Bursars Office team in Dublin.
- Excellent communication and cooperation with the Provincial Bursars Office.
Requirements:
- Ideally IATI qualified but not essential
- Previous experience working on Sage would be an advantage.
- Min 3 -4 years similar accounting experience is required
- Experience working in the charity, non-profit sector would be beneficial
- Rate: £17.60/18ph
