We are recruiting an Administrative Assistant to work in a school based in the Dunlaoghaire area.
This role is full time, hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, with 1 hour lunch and a 15 minute morning break.
The role is permanent after the 6mths probation period.
Salary is €35k gross, pension contribution is 5% employer contribution after 1 year service, holidays are 25 per year.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum of 2-3 years prior experience in an administrative or secretarial role is required.
- Third level qualification.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with various individuals.
- Familiar with Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues independently and proactively.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast paced school environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
- References required.
Job spec:
- Diary management- principal’s diary management (Microsoft Outlook) to schedule appointments, meetings on behalf of teachers and parents and book conferences.
- Communication – handle phone calls and communication to staff, parents and third parties.
- Meetings (board)- to schedule meetings, prepare the Agenda, documents and distribute to board members.
- Meetings (other) – to schedule meetings (YH & SST) and take minutes.
- Reports- to proof read reports and amend when needed.
- Filing – maintain filing systems and other admin systems.
- Events – schedule hall bookings, organise events such as conferences and award ceremonies.
- Liaison – interact with parents, teachers, staff, suppliers.
- General admin support – to provide a range of admin tasks to support management.
- Discretion & confidentiality – handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
- Start date ideally 5/8/2025.
