About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and capable Criminal Defence Solicitor to join Ireland‘s leading public interest and human rights law practice in Dublin. This is a busy and growing Legal Practice.

They are seeking a Criminal Defence Solicitor to join their growing dynamic criminal defence team in their circuit and superior court section.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of criminal matters, representing clients at all stages of the criminal justice process.

You will play a key role in advising and defending clients, attending Garda stations, preparing cases, and representing clients in court.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in criminal matters
• Attend Garda stations to advise clients during interviews and detention
• Prepare and manage case files, including reviewing evidence and taking instructions
• Draft legal documents, motions, and submissions
• Liaise with barristers, Gardaí, prosecution, and court services
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure clear communication throughout

Requirements

• Experience in criminal defence law as either a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practising Certificate.
• Experience in criminal defence.
• Experience attending Garda stations is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish criminal law and court procedures.
• The ability to work to deadlines.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
