We are recruiting a Part time General Practice Nurse to work for a busy Multidisciplinary Practice in the Blackrock surrounding area, Co Dublin.
Suitable candidates MUST have previous experience working in a GP setting to apply for this role.
The GP Nurse is responsible for delivering high quality, patient cantered nursing care within the practice setting.
Responsibilities:
Clinical:
- Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history, and lifestyle factors
- Perform wound care, dressings, and suture removal
- Administer vaccinations and immunisations in line with national guidelines
- Carry out cervical screening (smear tests)
- Assist with minor surgical procedures
- Manage chronic disease clinics (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD, cardiovascular conditions)
- Perform phlebotomy (blood draws) and ECGs
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records (electronic and paper-based)
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and confidentiality standards
- Manage stock control of clinical supplies and vaccines
- Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives
Infection Control & Safety:
- Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols
- Ensure clinical areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Follow health and safety regulations and best practices
Qualifications & Requirements:
Essential:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Minimum 2-3 years post-registration clinical experience
- Previous experience working in a General Practice setting
- Competency in phlebotomy, immunisation, and wound care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Salary: €32ph. Hours will start off c 20 per week, some negotiation possible around this for the right candidate.
- Tuesdays 8.30am- 5pm/option 4.30pm
- Wednesday 1.30pm-4.30pm
- Thursdays 8.30am-5.30pm
