Legal Executive

This is your opportunity to join a specialist Asset & Debt recovery team in a leading Law firm in D2.

Suitable candidates must have min 1-3 years experience working in a law firm in the area of general debt recovery. Previous experience is a must. This is not a suitable role for FE1 candidates.

General Debt Recovery Legal Executive

We are looking for an experienced General Debt Recovery Legal Executive to join our very busy and friendly Asset & Debt Recovery Team, based in Dublin 2.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Managing a high-volume, fast-moving workload

• Taking instructions from clients

• Drafting proceedings

• Service of proceedings

• Instructing summons servers and tracing agents

• Drafting motions

• Briefing counsel to include preparation of briefs

• Dealing with incoming correspondence from agents, solicitors and defendants

• Liaising with clients over court outcome and next steps

• Liaising with court services

• Dealing with incoming telephone calls from agents, solicitors and defendants

• Ensuring safe and efficient handling of confidential data

• Contributing to departmental monthly target

Key Skills & Experience:

• The ideal candidate should have one to three years of experience working in a law firm in the area of General Debt Recovery

• Previous experience in General Debt is a must

• Calm, professional and approachable manner

• Excellent administration skills which demonstrate an eye for detail and an ability to organise, manage and prioritise work within a team

• Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a strong team player with a desire to learn

• Strong IT Skills including competency in Word, Excel, Outlook, experience of case management systems (Keyhouse is an advantage) and excellent numeracy skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Please note that this role is for a Legal Executive, FE-1 candidates will not be considered

• Salary will depend on experience.
